نتكلّم العبريّة
Women Speaking Hebrew
Lissan’s flagship program that equips East Jerusalem Palestinian women with practical language tools through a community-based teaching model.

Medabrot Ivrit - نتكلّم العبريّة - Women Speaking Hebrew has been operating since 2013, providing Palestinian women in East Jerusalem with everyday Hebrew-language tools that enable them to act independently in both the public and private spheres.
The project emerged in response to a clear, on-the-ground need. Women in East Jerusalem have faced, and continue to face, language barriers across nearly every aspect of daily life, from accessing healthcare and navigating bureaucracy and public institutions to employment, higher education, and everyday interactions in the city. The absence of practical Hebrew limits access, undermines confidence, and deepens dependence.
