Medabrot Ivrit -Women Speaking Hebrew in the Negev

Women Speaking Hebrew in the Negev aims to replicate our flagship program for Bedouin women in the Negev. This project was launched in partnership with Ben Gurion University in the Negev and Ajeec-Nisped. Through practical Hebrew language courses, Bedouin women gain the language skills required to independently access rights and resources, and advance themselves personally and professionally. We specially adapted our textbooks and learning materials to be more applicable for Bedouin culture and life in southern Israel.

We ran a pilot of this project in 2021-2022 in the Arab-Bedouin locality of al-Zarnug, and opened two classes in Hura in 2022-2023. We plan to open 4-5 classes in Hura and other locations in the upcoming year.
